I think I'd like it more, if weren't such a scripted Drama show, and more of a scripted as in, they actually find something, it'd be much more entertaining to put on a show and instead of thinking "Did Rick forgive Samantha?" I'd be thinking "What, did they find today?"
much spoiler
such rude
wow
Am I the only one, who'd be okay with a scripted show, as long as instead of character development (A bit is okay, but these shows take it out of hand), they Completely script everything they find, even go to the point of making up a different myth, in an area, and talk about everything they've found.
That'd just support this "As long as it isn't real history, people will watch" direction, the History Channel is turning into, though.
Ancient Iceroad Storage Aliens.
5 Minutes - Actually doing Something (Oooh, draining a bog! took them a whole season to do it)
30 Minutes - Narrator talking about the same possible theories about the show
5 Minutes - Going over theories from the last episode
Season 1 started January, Season 2 started November so when season 3 will air will probaly be either begginging of fall or begging of the new year. Also hopefully it'll have 10+ episodes. I know were all very irritated and annoyed from how the series has been 90% drama and bs. But the team has found and discovered quite alot since they started their search. So far they've found out alot of very significant information, they got a carbon date on the wood vault (1600 to 1900) the log from the swamp ( 1600 to 1900 i think). I can't find the age for the coconut fiber but i remmeber the team saying the age difference with the fiber and vault were so far apart. So with are current tech were able to find all this info out, of course that past teams didn't have. So we know alot more now.
So now They will be debating wheater or not they should drain 10x, If you ask me. Wouldnt that be pointless? If the chamber has tunnels that have a current stream of ocean water.. then itll keep re-filling. So I'm sure 80% of season 3 ep 1 will be about that thought.
I think I was watching it this morning, but I was half awake.
I remember the Oak island outro playing, then when it came back on, it was the Brad Meltzer's Decoded people.
I just don't know, something about the Knights Templar?
Well, The Knights Templar is just one of theroy's that they either were looking for tresure of some kind.. Possibly religous artifacts, or they hid it there. Just one like i say, of many theroys. Now with the carbon dating of the wood vault, I think it's safe to say that the vault doesn't contain anything BC realated but who knows. The team will have to get in there of course, When they can fix the ocean water coming in.
There's alot of theorys about What is in the money pit and in/under the swamp. The team from the show, their reasearching every theory. So many though, if you ask me, they should stop with theorys and just dig and go from there.
Could there be something in the Money Pit? Having done my own research, i think there could be. With some of the actual evidence found, there is strong evidence that there was manmade involvement with the pit and the island. Masonic, or Templar, or Pirate, or whatever other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ they cite as being connected to the island is merely mist, the faintest speculation. As soon as someone brings up the Templars or the Masons i know whatever it is, tv, book, article, blog, etc...that it's now in Pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Territory. Historians have limited information on the Templars when they were actually active, and after they were arrested there is nothing it's all speculation, myth, and legend, there is literally no hard evidence. So how can people suddenly know that "oh, it's the Templars!"?
Seeing as they find the object, no one would really know about it until they have an official press release.
Meaning that they could have a "Curse of Oak Island, Special" where they reveal what they found.
Also Jewish people are technically related to Jesus.
Good lord do you work for the History Channel? You're missing my point. In all of these "search for" shows, whether it's treasure on Oak Island, skeletons of giants, "lost history" on America Unearth, etc, anything that was found that was of significant significance wouldn't be kept secret for a press release it would come out, and be everywhere because it would be so revolutionary and controversial. That's the whole scam of these shows, they try to build up suspense with intrigue and speculation only to get to the end of the show and they have nothing.
Yes and no on the being related to Jesus. Vast eons of distance related yes, Jews and Jesus can all be traced back to the 12 tribes of Israel and Abraham. But that's nothing that's like saying we're all related becaus of the one guy that came out of Africa. No, the lady from the show claims that she is a descendent from Jesus as in Jesus had kids that had kids and on down to her. But again, you missed my point. The lady claims she has evidence to support her claim....it's just that no one can see it. That's not how the scientific method works. The fact that that's her method and the History Channel is making her an "expert" is an insult to actual academics!
