How come there are so many Russian PC Gamers?

How come there are so many Russian PC Gamers?

Why are there so many Russion PC gamers and there are like no console Russian Gamers?
EDIT: I am not annoyed with it, I'm just curious

Deal with it. Everyone wants to play the game. You just have to go with the flow with other gamers. :D

there ust to be a time when russian citizens had 3 choices in entertainment sex, drugs, or vadca. now that the russian government has relaxed a whole lot, russians can get into the computer on line world. now there is a small problem with russian mobs trying to steal identities all over the world, all in all its a good thing.

remember that the realllllly BIG business in the world wide web is SEX. 75% of the sites are related to one form of porn or another. big boobs hear and big boobs there and all for the price of your max limit on your credit card.

Why are there so many English speaking gamers? Really, they have no more business playing video games than the Russians!

I'm going to take a guess and say it's because consoles are more expensive in Russia, and what I mean by that is to play Dota 2, Counter Strike and Team Fortress 2 you don't need a beefy PC, and it's much cheaper to buy a PC/laptop that not only plays games, but can also do work among many other things. Whereas if you buy a console, you may also need a PC/laptop for school, work, etc.

Consoles in Russia are roughly the same price as they are in Europe, although digital games are much cheaper. Problem is, Russian wages are about half of that in Europe, so PCs do seem to be much more desirable compared to consoles.

Don't you people know anything? PCs were a big advance for Russia and whenever Russians advance they do it en masse, Zhukov-style. In fact, pretty mmuch anything Russians do, they do en masse. Wether it's fighting, drinking, or dying, the Motherland leads the way and paves it with Russians. They're probably shouting "Ourah! Ourah pobieda!" as they flood servers everywhere.

Okay, I'm done making bad jokes. A real reason for the presence of "so many" Russians beyond confirmation bias is probably that Russia has like seven time zones. When the gamers in Moscow are pooped, the ones in Vladivostok are just getting started.They'd be around for most of the day, every day.
