How to Flatten a Bent LEGO Baseplate?
I have an extra large grey baseplate 15" x 15" and it was stored in the basement poorly for about a year. Needless to say, it's not exactly flat how i would like it, but it's still usable but just an annoiance.

So does anyone have a way to flatten it? I already tried books and it helpd a bit but not all the way.

My dad recommeneded getting it, putting a towel over it, and using the clothing iron to try to flatten it. My concern with this was that the heat might mess up the studs on the baseplate, but i'm not sure and until i am sure it wont do anything then i dont want to go through with it.

So if you had this happena nd fixed it please let me know wha you did or the fastest way to fix it!

Thank You =D

Stupid idea: try standing on it for a while
A pressing machine
Use the books again, but try to warm the plate up just a LITTLE BIT and instead of using a flat foundation for doing so, try to find something that you place the base and books on that has a little bit of a downward decline or small dip.

How do you suppose i warm it up?

And what do you mean for the surface? The way its bent is in the shape of a mountain. It just barely goes up when laying on a flat surface, you know what i mean, like the middle part is raised.

im confused, like do you want part of the basepalte hanging off an edge?

You can always use a hair dryer to warm it up, or a heating pad, not exactly surefire ways in the slightest.

I know just fine. The baseplate isn't going to hang off anything, what I tried explaining is to find a surface that the plate can sit on without hanging out at all. Sorry if this sounds a little confusing. The last time I ever played with legos, it has been some time to be honest, it would be nice to break them out again and play with them though.
It does sound a little confusing XD lol but thats ok as long as you're trying to help! So are you saying make sure there is a decline but im not sure how you want the baseplate placed of that decline. or why you want the decline int he first place?

And yeah i just started using em again. very expensive for plastic (although the quality is always superb) but a great thing to collect and build and play with or whatever you want.
