Altered Beast (1988, available on steam)
Skyrim (available on steam)
Morrowind: bloodmoon expansion (available on steam)
Blood of the Werewolf (available on steam)
Vampire: The Masquerade (not sure if it has werewolves but I heard it did, available on steam)
Let me help you with that. Yes, there's werewolves. No, you can't play as one. Instead you play as a vampire from one of the few clans. However, the scene with the werewolf is considered one of the most exciting, heart-pounding and terrifying moments in a video game. Why?
Because the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ werewolf chasing you is HUGE!!! And when you managed to evade him for a while, you hear his breathing as he tries to sniff you out. Worst of all, you CAN'T kill him. You have to run and use the method mentioned in-game which I won't spoil for anyone who hasn't played the game yet.
That sounds both horrible and awesome :O I think I really need to install this game. Thanks for telling me this! Looking forward to the encounter :D
Well, the game's full name is Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines and it should have been up there with the greatest RPGs of all time but it didn't because of the bugs during its release. So, if you want to buy the game, you must first look up for the patches by the Bloodlines community, shouldn't be hard, everyone knows which ones to install.
The encounter with the werewolf happens near the end of the game and is indeed epic. Which reminds me of one more thing, Bloodlines wasn't described as a horror game, yet it has several moments that are scarier than true horror games, including that damn werewolf and a place called the Ocean Hotel. So, don't play this game if you're a scaredy cat.
Eh, the Gangrel shapeshifting ability is basically a werewolf of sorts, even if it's a giant bat thing. Probably a mod out there to adjust this.
Hi, Fido here.
I just came here on this account to let you know that the ban was deserved. I posted this on the wrong forum apparantly and it got moved to the right one (wich I didn't notice). After that I posted another discussion similar to this one about vampire games and I posted it on the wrong forum again. So now you know :) I won't be posting with this account anymore in case using another account to post anyway is against the rules. So yea the ban was deserved, but keep on bringing in those suggestions! I'll be back tomorrow at around 4.30 to thank more people and stuff.
That still seems a bit extreme to ban someone over a small mistake like that, but at least it's a short ban.
I wish I had more suggestions for you, but I've never really played any wolf games other than the games that have already been mentioned. Definitely check out Okami, though. It's one of the best games I've ever played.
Then I'm definitely picking that clan (I think it's a clan?) when playing the game :p
I'm going to play this game as soon as I can get my hands on it but it seems to be a bit rare ):
Also, keep those suggestions going guys! don't stop now :D
But, whatever you do, you MUST install the latest wesp5 fan made patch, I think (IIRC) there is even an option in the installation to switch choose between the bat form model and a wolf(ish) form, you may want to ask about this in the official forums.
It seems like it's still being updated
Think it is that one, the last version of the patch only came out a month or two ago. The downloadable is here:
http://www.patches-scrolls.de/patch/4647
Unofficial Patch 9.1, makes the game playable on modern OSes and you should be able to choose between the old bat or new werewolf model (not 100% sure on this).
Can't think of any other game not mentioned here, sorry (guessing you already own Oblivion). I can +1 for "Wolf Amongst Us" as suggested though.
Ah thanks :) installing it now, and yea I'm getting the wolf among us as soon as it's on a nice discount.
