NHL FOR PC
Dont you think, that EA (or whatever) should actually work on publishing the NHL series for PC again?

Because i loved the NHL games, but own no console, so the last NHL i played was 2009.

I played others on consoles my friends own, but well, would be nice to have a new one, right?

Keep EA as far away from PC gaming as possible.

Well, i dont mind to get another publisher!

Its just that i want this awesome series back :/

IK, I am sad about that too. Here is a link to 09 on Origin if you want it
https://www.origin.com/en-us/store/buy/nhl-2009/pc-download/base-game/standard-edition
They quit madden on PC after 08 too. I think EA could make it work considering the success of FIFA on PC, which was the only EA sports series on PC that they didn't discontinue.

It would be amazing if EA would finally start bringing sports titles back to the PC (like Madden, NHL and UFC) but that's up to them. Obviously they would only be available on Origin which is better than not at all. Right now the only sports title available for the PC by EA is FIFA.

Times have changed and PC is getting more attention. Lets hope the next set of sports games they make are for PC/XBO/PS4. If EA see that NBA2K15 does incredibly well, they might consider it.

I just wonder that they publish everything for xbox, xbox one and ps4, if there are also enough PC gamers who would give this a try.

If you´re bored, and got some friends to play with, it´s awesome to gather them and then get on a xx vs. xx game :)

If it would only be playable i would be so glad.

But I still can´t figure out why they stopped to sell this.

Digital copies cost them way less money then retail copies.
And i dont think that porting it to pc would be so hard (Dark Souls is a different story)

The reason EA stopped making sports titles for PC (in my opinion) is because coding for the PC is difficult (because of all the different hardware configurations) and they noticed their target audience was for consoles. It helped them lower the workload for the devs and still made them a ton of money.

Now that PC is getting more attention and the audiences are more diverse than ever, lets hope they reconsider PC for their next installment of sports games.

i honestly dont know why they stopped making sports games for pc. except for the really boring and garbage ones like NBA or WWE where they are extremely boring after 2 hours of gameplay... if they really want to make more money i would add fifa or NHL because they are far better games that more people enjoy. yes fifa is on origin but steam is better than origin and i feel like it would be way better on steam. they should have never stopped making NHL games for pc. its just so people buy their overpriced consoles to play. pc is far more superior and runs games far better than a console would. i have nothing against console i just prefer pc and it would be a lot easier and more profitable if they were to add these games to steam.

EA is perfectly fine and have proved themselves over the years. they helped make star wars battlefront and the game is amazing. except for the fact that they arent adding anything from the force awakens. they have made truely impressive games for NHL. i dont even think you know anything about EA because you have said nothing to back it up. You have enjoyed EA games as much as any of us and you know it. NHL16 is insanely realistic and has a very nice community. the thing i like about the games ea has made is they have always tried to improve their games and make them better and by looking at the nhl series you can easily see that. even the players look so realistic and the physics are realistic.
I am a huge fan of the EA NHL series....if they put it on to PC and made it controller compattable, i would be in heaven. Yeah it was less work back in the day, but it should be alot eaesier now, correct? not to mention they really do have an audience on PC. I'm just trying to voice my opinion so that someone at EA may catch wind of the numbers of people who would actually buy and NHL game

I love the nhl games that EA makes just i dont have the money for the console because i have put it all into upgrading my pc. the last nhl game i played was nhl 07. still a great game just i want the new players and the new uniforms and the online features and the community is incredible.

Developing new game like NHL is too costly and if there is no community buying it like version for console, then there is no profit in making PC version...

But why the hell there is no (paid) statistic update for some version of NHL for PC which wouldn't be so costly like new game...

And if there would be some incompability between various versions of game in multiplayer(and also to support new operating systems(which in console world is obvious, but paid)), then its easier to have mandatory upgrade to new version of NHL for PC for games, but in same mode(think like DLC version of game which wouldn't be so costly) and it pay money for servers...

Playing old statistics is not much fun, but game could be programatically changeable to deliver pleasure and there should be not so mess and if EA thinks this could canibalize its current console business, then should think again...

And a lot of could be doable by (paid) volunters (copywrighter) or more by official sport authority associations or make more advanced by current seasons not only in North America, but also to give option to make locally view of this popular game when NHL is not equal hockey in all parts of the world...

Paying for something also means, that current investment in game does not throw out of window next year when paying full sum for game, when there are voluntiers making statistic update(altough in some areas little problematic) seems strange for ME...

And if EA thinks that there is a lot of piracy out of console world, then why they don't support only MS Store and STEAM only(with possible keys in local stores in format STORE.KEY which whould mean where is obvious from where is KEY FROM)

Every year I look for news that EA is releasing an NHL game on PC. An EA NHL game on PC is an instant purchase for me.

I understand. Watching Canada not win The Cup is hard enough IRL; you shouldn't have to see it on your computer too. 😁
