Pokemon XY or ORAS

going to buy one of the 3ds pokemon games soon. i've played every single pokemon generation and each region
games that i had played:
yellow, crystal, fire red, ruby, emerald, diamond, platinum, heart gold, black, black 2, white 2
i enjoyed heardgld and emerald the most.

if i get X or Y, i would have played every region in pokemon but if i played ORAS, i would have still played every genertion from 1 to 6. both games look great and i would love to try out both kalos and the remastered hoenn. currently i feel like getting omega ruby but i have never tried exploring the kalos region before. of course i will get another pokemon game soon, since there may be a pokemon z or a 3ds version of emerald.
so which should i get? ORAS and pkmn z or XY nad pkmn something emerald?

Both are awesome. I think ORAS is better due to there being more end-game material to do because XY literally has no endgame. It just ends. X/Y is heaps fun to play through though and has a bunch of game mechanics that makes the game different from previous generations.

Dude, just get both.

pokemon z is rumoured so i may wait for it, but there may also be a remastered emerald.
planning to get both soon but which one to get first? and does ORAS have a battle frontier?

Theres no Battle Frontier this time. I think Pokemon Z is a little unlikely since someone stated from nintendo that they're planning to do something different this generation. I'm expecting a surprise. Also, ORAS has elements of Emerald, just like HG/SS has elements of Crystal.

really hope they make a remaster of kanto though sinnoh is nice too
if XY is unlikely do you thin that there may be a remaster of XY in the near future like B2W2?
played the ORAS demo and it looks awesome. but is there a side by side comparision between XY and ORAS because that will 100% make up my mind

Starting off with ORAS is probably a good choice. It's not entirely different to RSE but you'll love how far they've come into revamping Hoenn. X/Y can come later but it is a whole new region and nothing like previous generations. It has it's own game mechanics that makes it unique and the story is quite pleasing (and makes more sense) compared to ORAS.

The only note I can give about XY is that its majorly different from past generations. Since it's set in France, it's got a more civilzation feel. ORAS has that tropical island feel. Generation 6 is the start of a new pokemon timeline, so expect surprises!

and i actually prefer the pokemon appearances from gen 1-4 gen 5 and 6 started to introduce too many wierd pokemons, but some still look awesome though

Yeah then go for it. I don't really remember pokemon from Generation 4+ being in ORAS until after the game when they start to appear, so you'll have a better time dealing with just gen 1-3 pokemon (and future evolutions such as Togekiss and Sylveon). :3

i prefer platinum. ORAS is a remake, XY has new pokemans and the guy from ORAS looks old cus of teh gray hat. I personally hate the pokemon games after black and white 2.

Why does platinum recieve so much love? I haven't played sinnoh yet but dayum Platinum is the one being praised the most. Is it better than Diamond and Pearl?

platinum is amazing, sadly i've already completed it twice so it became boring.
in fact the pokemon in battle has better graphics than BW and B2W2. gen 5 has horrible battle graphics imo compared to the environment.

going to get OR within this week, hope that a pokemon z comes out soon but not too soon. as long as it is after the summer sale. steam is still way more important

Well, I just restarted platinum, since my first save sucked balls, and now I have a lvl 49 Garchomp, lvl 48 empoleon, and lvl 47 giratina as my highest, (I just went along destroying everything, not really catching) I could use some (help) suggestions as to what I should start doing, I have 7 gym badges, got giratina, 159 in my pokedex (not national, seeing as I haven't completed the game).
