My only issue with it is that I can't switch from one art to another fast enough to save my life. Seriously, throw me off the ledge when I'm using shield and I'm basically done.
Link has always has some tricks. If you know your timing you can actually dodge well and counter his attack, since normally he'd be letting out his guard. As i have experience some people that countered me, though i used to beat super smash bros melee all 3 modes (adventure, classic, and all star) on highest difficulty. All Star is the hardest of them all.
If i know my timing on my attacks, and which moves to use. I can definitely do good with Link.
Btw, I have a friend who said the same thing he can beat me with pikachu, ends up losing. XD
Though that was way back, and happened on Super Smash Bros Brawl.
Unless however, you know when to use Link's spin attack and avoid leaving him defenseless, then theres an advantage. Having a 1 on 1 with Link for me is quite challenging, since normally that person would be so focused on attacking me. Unless if its not 1 on 1, i normally take advantage of the enemies. Usually attack them while they are distracted by other enemies, etc. Stealing scores and stuff like that. Though but not always, at times i take on the person that focuses on me.
Thats why i'm always careful on how i attack as Link, if i get too carried away on fighting then i'll end up losing my guard, causing me to be open and get knocked out. But if I remain focus and counter the enemies attack (usually by dodging or blocking), i can take advantage and give out some good damage.
Thats why i like Link, always help me out of this mess lol. But because of what i already been through with Super Smash Bros Melee JUST as Link, i already learned enough how to control him.
Is Shulk some sort of shrek/hulk hybrid or something?
No he's from a game called Xenoblade Chronicles.
