Battlefield: Hardline... Is it just me, or are the graphics a little dumbed down?
So I finally go BF:H and I have to say that it is a pretty well put togeather game. The campaign mode (which is what I bought the game for) is different and brings something fresh to the FPS genre. You are the main character in what seems to be a popular prime time tv drama series about the rough life of a squad of Miami cops. Without getting really into it, whenever you quit or start the game you are shown a "whats next" or "last time" on Battlefield: Hardline rundown (just like they do on popular tv shows). The whole concept is great, but (it seems theres always a but) the graphics seem somewhat 2009. Definately not current or up to date. Before anybody thinks its my rig... It is not my rig. I know what my rig is capable of and my rig is capable of anything you can throw at it. What I mean by no good graphics, I mean the style or the way they are presented. I have everything on ultra and the game runs seemless at 60fps. The people just do not look like other current "next gen" rendered people. They are off. So is the enviornment. There is hardly any detail. Nothing like COD:AW... That game on ultra is extremely impressive. Everything looks super amazing on COD:AW (probably one of the best graphically rendered games I have ever seen)... The detail is all there. Everything from the crows feet on peoples faces to the grain lines on leaves... It has it all and I wish that BF:H had taken the time to do the same. I built my rig so that I could experience the "next gen" games in all of their fully rendered, detail enhanced glory. Not so I could experience half-a$$ and lazily put togeather graphics at 60fps! I hope the next Battlefield looks the way a "next gen" game is supposed to look and not like a 2009 GOY edition.

What's more annoying to me, is how they're bribing YouTubers to advertize it for them.

Battlefield 4 does look better, but I wouldn't say Battlefield: Hardline is a bad looking game. Then again graphics have never really been important to me, and I'm used to playing games on the Xbox One at 720p/800p at low to medium settings.

Give me a couple of months and I may be coming back to this thread complaining about graphics, as I will have had my PC for a good couple of months then.

P.S I played Hardline on the Xbox One and got to play it a little at a mates house. I think most of his settings were on high.

Yeah, EA have that partnership program, can't remember what it's called. They seem to have quite a few big Youtubers under their belt. I tend not to watch EA reviews from those content creators as their review/impressions may be biased.

Character and weapon models are really good imo but maybe it isn't as good on the other parts as the other Battlefield games.

I played the SP and MP on max settings and it runs just fine which is good enough for me.

It doesn't look as good at BF4, but it's still a nice looking game. I do find it funny though how BF4 was used a a benchmark game, and the newest BF game isn't even close to that. Kind of a step backwards.

If you play it on max or even just on ultra, it looks good. Luckily, the spec requirements aren't that bad, so its not hard to max if you have a modern PC.

No1, the usual advertising by YouTubers, EA didn't do anything to convince those YouTubers to advertise....

Tbh. i think BF: Hardline is better than BF4. Not only the stronger infantrymaps, but the setting is way better, also the gamemodes are actually fun.
