Im about 28 hours in, i play these games slow cause i dont upgrade my weapons on my first playthru. im bout to restart tho.
I havent tested out all the features in the game, like chalice dungons. i havent beaten the game.
Everything Negative i say will most likly get fixed in a patch.
first the bad stuff i noticed.
There are some PvE flaws the most glaring imo is the long reach weapons like lugwigs holy sword just stun locks enemies and do decent damage, even nrmal swings will need a neft somehow. you can use it to much for safe pokes im restarting my game now and not using that sword again till its nerfed, it litterly ruins the experince.
Enemy AI is a problem for charge attacks if you use the real long range weapons, they simply will charge or walk at you with small varations in timing, making it easy to use a long weapon charge attack pokes, you can just back up an poke and back up and poke. this is not a big problem will smaller ranged weapons as much.
Thie fix imo is simple, the damage for these charge attacks need to be nerfed to hell for most weapons. Put some other insentive to do them. Also adjust some enemy AI to smarlty see a charge attack and back off/ not apporach. (they kinda change walking or running pace smetimes but not often.
Weapon upgrades in genral dont scale well for the normal difficulty, you become way to powerful pretty early on. this is unforntunate really. You become way to overpowered for ur first play thru. ive heard NG+ fixes alot of this tho. but meh.
Id reccomend a SL around 40 for ur fist playthru (mostly investing in vitality and endurance). with minimal investment in weapon upgrades. id say 1 for every 3 bosses killed.
Now ill get into the good.
The world design and enemy design is great in alot of places, top notch stuff, some weak parts (feels like ds2 in parts) but overall i love it.
Coop is really good, you can choose where you spawn in the persons world you join, its simply where ever u stand when being warping in is where you spawn. you can spawn in the middle of the map and take care of alot of the hosts enemies and work ur way to him.
Tho it can sometimes take awile to find the host.
I can only reoocmend to host that they ring thier bell at the start of the area rather than later by the boss door. For people getting summonded, hang out bout 50% of they way thru or by a shortcut that has lots of acsess to most of the area.
Shortcuts and secrets are pretty awesome, i love how they make places feel so dense, it is worth exploring for these, even if the rewards arnt always great.
PVP
Noone nows enough bout this, but i think the SL meta should be like half or less of what it was in demons souls and darksouls TBH.
Sounds bad atfirst cause at those levels we probly wont see alot if any of stats reaching the dimished returns.
Overall in its curent state its not a system seller to pc people looking for the next ds1.
If you just want to play another souls like game. By all means pick this up.
I think bloodborne changed alot up from the get go, and will need some balance tweaks (like any souls game)
Im sure ng+ will change my opinion tho.
IM REALLY PICKY I dont play alot of modern games in general.
Seems to be mostly when ur just walking around.
The load times are charming xD
The picture quility can get very ugly to decent, im convinced its using some kind of dynamic AA.
I still think overall bloodborne will fall below both demons souls and darksouls 1 for me. in all honesty, but its diffrent enough that ill actually play it on the side. (unlike ds2)
Too bad.

But I really doubt it comes to PC. While I'm sure From could find a way to bring it, most likely Sony will double down and make sure it says put on PS4, especially since its been reviewed so well.
