looking for a game similar to Monster Hunter but with taming
Hello Everyone! Just like the title says, I'm looking for a game that's similar to Monster Hunter but with the ability to train/tame the monsters instead of killing them. Monster Hunter put such wonderful effort into making the monster realistic, detailed, and unique with a ton of personality. I would love that same feel of going into a monsters den but with the intent to capture and tame it to fight along side me rather than kill these amazing creatures.

The only PC game I recall that involves a bit of taming is Zanzarah. But if I recall it isn't necessarily very deep.

There are quite a few MMOs that feature a pet system, where you hunt, catch and then fight monsters.

Rappelz or Shin Megami Tensei are such a games. Also, probably worth checking out would be Mortal and Wurm Online, if you want something more western.

If its not about PC games... Pokemon.

Thank you for the quick replies, unfortunately looking at the suggestions none of those games seem to be what I'm looking for. To further assist, let me restate that what I'm mostly concerned about is the aspect of actively having to locate/hunt down the monsters before I can capture them, as well as the importance of much care and detail in the monsters design. One example, in monster hunter all the creatures have behaviors when they fight and clear details in their biology that dictate how they fight, these levels of care and detail add a realism and personality to the creatures which is what makes me want to care for them rather than kill them. Pokemon only slightly delves into realistic details (i.e. small flavor text describing why they evolve certain traits or behaviors). And games that just happen to have a pet system almost never put the emphasis on the monsters, which is what I'm looking for. In a perfect world, the game would be exactly like monster hunter but with the added feature of capturing them and having them as allies, possibly with care and/or leveling mechanics for the creatures as well.
