Whether it's Youtube or Twitch subscribers - I think the vast majority of subscribers have lost their mind. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that one should give money to watch someone play a video game.
No - in fact, each one of those twitch or youtubers should be paying me for the priviledge of having me watch their channel.
If they wish to subsidize their income further, try getting a better, or second job.
Since when did being a lazy slob, sitting around playing video games = making extra cash.
Yes - they are lazy - incredibly lazy if you consider the sheer number of hours they put into a sedentary hobby.
That is simply not a healthy concept at all and it's very unfortunate that the sheep have latched onto the idea.
Those whom defend the idea are illogical and I have no time for their retorts.
medicines.....
I can understand the interest of watching other people playing just like some people like watching sports on TV :
- watch better players to learn a few tricks
- watch fun players to relax
- watch competitive events for the "thrill"
But I don't get why Twitch is so popular, time is precious, I would rather watch a YouTube video to watch what I want immediately.
Somehow, some people seem to watch it because they feel part of something or because they feel they know the streamer like if he was their friend.
Having virtual friends, sure. But at some point, I see issues with teenagers trying harder to make virtual friends than IRL friends.
The whole idea of live streaming for 8+ hours a day does not seem a very heathly lifestyle and I don't want to encourage it.
"When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why they are poor, they call me a communist."
Hélder Câmara
I don't watch twitch though.
"it's not for supporting the streamers and they don't have a 'real job'" headass
I thought people on Steam wouldn't be this ignorant and be under this elitist belief of "real jobs" anymore but I guess I was wrong.
And it is for supporting the streamers. Even poorer people who don't have much money themselves are rather selfless and want to help a streamer out.
I really truly hope this is a troll post because of how bad it is.
