Why do people subscribe to a player's twitch channel?

I wouldn't blow money to a random player on the internet just because he shows us what he plays -_- .... This is stupid, in my opinion.

People really don't know what to do with their money? Wasting it on random players... o_O mind blown... and don't tell me it's for "supporting" the streamer(s)... this is pathetic.

Streaming games isn't a job... at least, not a real one. Only lazy people do this. Also they don't get pension after they "retire" from streaming.... So they are kinda idiots, not thinking for their future.

By the way: I wouldn't even subscribe to a beautiful, hot girl streaming games. What for? ... If you want to see a girl or be with a beautiful one, then make yourself a girlfriend... stop staring at girls on the internet... you don't solve anything....

I swear this generation of people is..... r.e.ta.r.de.d (more than ever). The technology doesn't help us... it ruins our lives / it makes us lazy.

I think everyone has their own opinion but I have to disagree with "Only lazy people do this." if you are referring to anyone who streams. I do and I am not the least bit lazy. I am an actor and I am trying to get into MIT. So not ALL streamers are lazy if that's what you meant. I do it in my free time because I can and I like it.

I haven't subscribed to anyone, but I consider it to be like a tip. If someone has fun hanging out in the stream's chat and wants to tip a few bucks as a thank-you and to help them out a bit, then that's cool.

A lot of work goes into streaming. Maybe the streamer also already has another job, or they're busy with college and want to stream for some extra money, or both. Doesn't sound so lazy to me.
