was remembering my childhood and am curious...
those who were around, what do you remember best in TV shows, Movies, Music and Games during the time of my childhood which was the late 90's to about 2005

some standout memories for me:

I remember playing my first survival horror games on the PS1 and remember my cousins enjoying me almost dying of shock at the jumpscares and also them performing fatalities on me in MK: Trilogy

I remember DBZ being the most talked about thing at school everyday

In movies I remember heavily anticipating Jurassic Park 3 when trailers were shown

I remember summer days when Sean Paul music was blasted out all the time from cars

I remember being excited getting my first color television.
I remember when dragon ball z, and pokemon was being traded around like it was gold. Watching wrestling when it was actually entertaining and couldn't miss 1 night and WWE iceream bars :P. Coming home from school and watching keenan and kel around dinner time. Being scared of the show Buffy The vampire for some reason... Spongebob, Rocket power, Sabrina the teenage witch, smallville, Malcom In The Middle, clay Akin or whatever vs rubben in American idol. I was really into Star wars as a kid. Steward little and Harry potter the game! Crash bandicoot, Spyro The dragon, for PS1.The girl singing "Bananas, B,a-n,a-n,a-s" over and over... I miss the simple flip phones, the aol dial up sound, AIM messenger sounds. There is a ton more but that's what i like to remember.

yeah, I had a stack of pokemon cards and remember the WWF attitude era(specifically the ministry of darkness) and the AOL dial up...man, that gave me shivers, felt like there were hidden messages about to come up from the government

I wasn't around in the late 90's. (I was born in 2000.) And here is some things that I remember from the early to mid 2000's.

I remember staying up watching Toon Disney/Jetix, Boomerang, Noggin and Nicktoons Network.

I even remember when flip phones and iPods were all the rage and every single teenager at the time wanted to get their hands on one. (I didn't really care at the time, I was a little kid.)

My first operating system was Windows XP Professional on an old custom-built computer back in 2003 when I was 3 years old.

One of the first websites I remember going on was the website for Noggin. (Later known as Nick Jr.)

I didn't get a video game console until October 2007 when my parents bought the original Nintendo Wii.

I used to be a big fan of SpongeBob back in the day.

I also used to play with my toys while watching TV. (Which I still do today. But with LEGO bricks. )

The movies that I remember watching the most when I was little was Lilo and Stitch, Finding Nemo and Cats & Dogs.

And that's it! Sorry if it was a little long but I had a such an awesome childhood!

In the 60's it was Saturday afternoon TV. The old 1930's Flash Gordon Serials were broadcast on TV along with other science fiction shows, like Rocky Jones Space Ranger.

I remember the change from Noggin to Nick Jr., my lil sis used to watch that and I was like wtf when I suddenly saw a different channel name

I also remember the classic fat white ipod rage, and people arguing zune was better

ahh, XP good times...except mine was actually Windows 98, then Windows ME and then XP

My first "official" gaming system after numerous knock-offs and hand-me-downs of consoles from the early 90's(Sega Genesis) was the GBA in christmas of 2003 followed by the Gamecube in christmas of 2004

thanks for sharing !

I actually enjoy watching The Addams Family and The Munsters as well as The Three Stooges and many black and white movies...I like TV from that era despite my dad not even born yet lol(1968)

90s as a kid was awesome - Terminator 2 being one of my first fav 'scary' action movies of all time, and to date still is.

Metallica, Iron Maiden, etc - some quality rock/metal bands still use to play, mostly still coming from the 1980s.

Flip phones - before changing up to smart.

Just a stack of pokemon cards? Me and my brother had buckets i remember at our school we would destroy everyone in the trading card game club because we actually had good decks, the kind of deck where you have like 35 trainers 16 energys and just 9 pokemon.
Married with children (still my fav show)
3rd rock from the sun
The fresh prince from bel-air
Home improvment
That 70s show
Walker, texas ranger
Space Ghost Coast to Coast
Stargate SG-1
King of the Hill
Futurama
South Park
and The Simpsons
Again, sorry for the long list.
