Holy crap I played a demo for one of these games on Dreamcast years ago and totally forgot this existed lol.
I played the first game of this series on PC, when it came out. It was a very good game IMO - having been a console player before. The game was small in size, yet it offered quite a lot. And it even ran on weak hardware (for that time) very well, so I appreciated the talents that made such a wonderful game.
This sequel also runs on older PC hardware very well, and looks quite good IMO. While the game physics are good overall, the sliding physics are silly and I wish the authors would look at Mario 64 for inspiration.
Another very neat game that I just discovered is "The Last Tinker: City of Colors" my Mimimi. It's inpired by Zelda 64, Mario and Banjo-Kazooie. Very colorful and hilarious! It's not a platformer, but an action-adventure game. In terms of gameplay and mechanics, it's like Link from Zelda in a Banjo-Kazooie world, but no swords, just Mario-like punches and some extra Kung-Fu moves. Great gamepad support and the game looks still very good at lowest settings on older hardware as well: https://store.steampowered.com/app/260160/The_Last_Tinker_City_of_Colors/
There is also a Playstation 4 version: https://store.playstation.com/pl-pl/product/EP2135-CUSA01066_00-THELASTTINKER000
I'm very surprised that this gem was received with such cold reception! It's a very good game IMO. We really lack good games on PC that aren't brutal, are colorful and funny. Even some players on Steam - UNFAIRLY - criticized this gem. The authors mention that they were inspired by Banjo-Kazooie and Zelda (and clearly also Mario) for the Ultra 64. They don't say this is some sort of replica clone of those games. The game is unique and very well done IMO. Even the Steam page description clearly says that it's not a platformer but an action adventure:
"... a joyous action adventure and definitely no platformer, as there is no jump button."
And there is another negative Steam review, that using only one power is enough to beat the whole game. Well that's impossible, because the game features puzzles that must be solved using all three powers appropriately to advance. And so far, I haven't been able to win fights with more advanced enemies by just using one power, at least two powers must be used to subdue foes (and it has to be done quickly and in the right order). The game isn't difficult, but it is very absorbing and entertaining! Definitely a wonderful game for Mario, Zelda and Banjo-Kazooie fans like myself.

Plenty to pick from, though some might find these hard around the edges. Stil, worth giving a try as most are really very nicely done.
