There's nothing wrong with pixel graphics. They can look really amazing when done well.
The problem is that a lot of people just make ♥♥♥♥ graphics and then try to play it off as a stylistic decision instead of putting some effort into it or hiring a better artist.
They're not overrated ♥♥♥♥♥ like Five nights at freddy's.
It's not even a genre, really, it's a game development practice, or process, or whatever.
I'd be willing to bet that, if we weren't privy to the developmental details, for many titles we wouldn't be able to tell if one guy built it, or 100 people built it.
This "too many indie games" thing is really just people putting too much weight into it.
Now, deadbeat Early Access developers and shoddy iOS ports... there is definitely too much of that (let's face it, one deadbeat developer is one too many).
In 7 Days to Die I can throw pipe bombs. plant land mines just fine.
In Wurm Online there are 10 places on your body that can get hit and various degrees of serverity which require different types and levels of first aid.
Kenshi is working a similar system but has added animation to those affected areas so you limp if you leg is affected etc. If knocked out you need a team mate to carry you.
Oh,NEKROMANSER
So i was looking for a grammar that I can enjoy and 90% of grammar is english . Look I like english grammar, it's just too much for me. If this started a flame war then i unsubscribe this discussion
Curious..
We can ask whether they are, though.

That's enough rambling from me (for that is what this is). At the moment, I s'pose there is still enough of a niche appeal for indie games to still be considered "over-rated" by the general audience especially in these times.
