How do I make a .gif file?

I found this awesome new .gif which is quite funny :)

I want to put it up as a Ts avatar. I know it can be done cus I have seen some players long ago with some .gif files as avatars.


I ask here cus I know that most of you have Ts and that 1% of you know how to put that file.

Help meh pls

All you have to do is saving/convert any photo file in a .gif format, making sure the .gif options are set the way you want them to be, et voilà...
I believe some free photo app could take care of that quite easily...

For making .gifs, avoid online services that watermark everything. Use gimp or gifcam.

No you didn't, not for an avatar.

I'm assuming you're talking about Teamspeak.

My friend Google told me this: You put an Avatar Image on the server if you right click your user in the client and select "set Avatar". AFAIK it only works if the server allows file transfer.

Steam doesn't allow gifs as an avatar though, as said it just turns them into jpegs. Also, GIMP has a plug-in you can download that lets you make gifs.

I don't believe animated GIF is allowed on Steam Profiles, as it would lead to a lot more loading and abuse. Image all the kids who would put up animated cartoon's ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥ or whatever floats their boat.

There are .gifs on profiles (art showcase), but not as an user avatar, as per the OP.

you could try "paint.net"... it's free and should handle animated .gif and their scaling.
