What are your favorite video game soundtracks?

My top five favorites (in no particular order) are:
Halo ODST
Bioshock Infinite
Far Cry 3
Nitronic Rush (which is free online http://torcht.com/nitronic-rush-soundtrack/ as is the game)
Fallout 3

I'm asking because I want to expand my listening library, and I think that the best games have soundtracks that don't only sound great, but fit the mood of the game as well. ODST has a very sad and melodic song that plays softly in the background of the game when out of combat. The song makes you feel completely alone in the ruined city of New Mombasa as you search for the rest of your squad mates.

I really like all the music on Galaxy News Radio in Fallout 3. Probably because I always listened to all the artists that are in it before I even played the game. Swing and jazz are great genres.

- Shenmue Orchestral Soundtrack & Shenmue I OST
- Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec Final Fantasy VIII
- Resident Evil Orchestral Soundtrack
- Parasite Eve 1
- Metal Gear Solid 1
- Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
- Monkey Island

Soundtracks today are getting a little too ambient and cinematic. I preferred it when games were using more interesting melodies, contrapunctual complexity and left motifs. These days, they all sound like they've been composed by Hans Zimmer - over and over again.
