Luftrauser, Nidhogg, Dragonfall comes to mind. Divinity: OS and a few others look promising.
But for non-indies, that new LOTR game sounds unexpectedly good, and I quite like Titanfall, even though it split people.
Oh yeah, forgot about that Divinity game, heard some real good things about it too. Also about the Shadow of Mordor game, sure it's good, but is it $50 good?
Dunno, but if the reviews are anything to go by, it's GOTY material.
Well ♥♥♥♥, looks like Pillars of Eternity is being pushed to 2015.
Enjoyed:
Age of Wonders III
The Banner Saga
Divinity Original Sin
Men of War Assault Squad 2
Shadowrun Returns Dragonfall
Tropico 5
Warlock 2
Will definitely pick up at some point:
Endless Legend
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
Sniper Elite III
The Last Federation
Maybe list:
Wasteland 2
Sims 4
Looking forward to:
Alien: Isolation
Borderlands the Presequel
Civilization Beyond Earth
Dragon Age Inquisition
Far Cry 4
Buy it when it's on sale ;)
At the same time, it's been a decent enough year with quality titles like:
Divinity: Original Sin
Mario Kart 8
The Walking Dead: Season Two
Wasteland 2
Divinity: Original Sin in one of the best crpg to come out in a long time, especially if you're a fan of the old black isle classics.
In terms of recent releases, though the reviews for Alien: Isolation so far have been a mixed bag....the reviews from the indie game The Vanishing of Ethan Carter have been positive.
Metacritic has given the new Aliens game 79/100 for the PC version, sounds pretty positive to me.
IGN and Gamespot gave it the lower scores, and I have absolutely no trust in their ability to review games, especially Gamespot.
Soooo... My point is... I just wait for the release of a game and see if I like it myself
Yeah the aggregate reviews aren't always in-line with expectations, but I don't think 79% could be considered "mixed" really.
What I meant by mixed bag is that the reviews for Aliens: Isolation are all over the spectrum...from a very low 5.9 from IGN and 6.0 from Gamespot...to a very high 93 from PC Gamer.
Even with a 79/100 on Metacritic, that isn't anything special. Sure, according to Metacritic's technical definition it is labeled as "generally favorable", however, 79/100 isn't anything special and could be considered disappointing for a such a big anticipated release with much as much hype and coverage as Aliens: Isolation recieved.
Civilization: Beyond Earth, I need it now! How the hell did I miss that? And it's only 21 days away from being released, I seriously can not wait.
what do you mean skyrim got 100/100?
