Why do our bodies push out sugar with insulin?
isnt that a clear sign that sugar is toxic and we shouldnt be eating it?

An excess of any substance can cause harmful effects. Even water intake in large quantities is not adviced and can be fatal. But does that mean that we shouldn't be drinking water ?

No, we don't. Insulin is not a defence mechanism against sugar.

High fructose is bad. Cane sugar, and the kind found in fruits isn't

Excess of glucose is also not good.

it's not just candy though

any form of carbohydrate food creates the insulin response

people are now saying it's responsable for obsesity and type 2 diabetes

Fruit is fine but drinking numerous litres of fizzy drinks on a daily basis is not
Eh, even fruit juice can just be excessive calories.

Anyways, if you think about how we evolved, we didn't have access to fruit all year anyways:rrazz:

balance... the body should only create/release glucose (sugar) to levels which are actually needed. excess food are stored as glycogen and fat.
