"CliffyB", that guy who produced Gears of War was a nickname given to him by a school bully.
Zero Punctuation's "Yahtzee" was a character in a video game he made.
I will buy a game off someone's wishlist if they can work out the origins of "Fork_Q". All the sources.
Nah sorry. One part a semi-obscure British comedy sketch, another part character from a popular science fiction TV show.
I don't know where fork is from, but Q is from Star Trek. I only know that because I knew a guy named Q IRL.
Well, ♥♥♥♥. That's the Q part worked out.
four candles?
No. But I do love that sketch.
it was the last thing he said to me before he stole my social life.
As for all the strange names, I assume they are references to some event in that person's life that only they will understand, or its a reference to something they watched/played/read and they 'personalized' it.
Some are just word play, for example, Pewdiepie is supposed to be "cutie pie"
Visitor Q?
I was named "the Defiler" because I would dig 1x2 tunnels everywhere in MC and soon under everyone's house would be a system of tunnels. I have a lot more crazy MC stories but they take up too much time to type lol.
No idea what that is, Felix got the Q part (partially) correct.
