Reasons why Batman V Superman MIGHT Fail?

Don't get wrong, I want this movie to be great, but I don't think it will be just after what's going on.

1. It's a Superman Vs. Batman film - Sure, this may sound like a great idea, but if you think this way, you're kind of forgetting about the fact that going this route would piss off a bunch of people. In a film like this, there are going to be 2 communities watching this movie: the Batman fans and the Superman fans. Since this is a Superman vs Batman movie, the movie is going to cater to one specific fanbase. In a movie like this, it's going to either go down in 3 ways: A) Superman is going to beat Batman up, which caters to the Superman fans and angers the Batman fans, B) Batman is going to beat up Superman, which caters to the Batman fans and really angers the Superman fans, or C) They're not going to fight at all, which doesn't cater to anyone and both fanbases will be pretty pissed off. Plus, since these two fanbases are constantly fighting each other on the internet about which superhero is better, I don't think it's a good idea to add flame to the fire.

2. The casting - What I find worse is their casting decisions. Henry Cavill was an okay Superman. He's good and I don't have any complaints about him. I was kind of nitpicky about Ben Affleck being Batman. Even though, I am getting used to the idea, I still question this cast choice. I literally fell on the floor laughing my *donkey* off when I heard Gal Gadot was playing Wonder Woman with her skinny self. I just saw the Wonder Woman picture and it looks alright. She needs to buff up a little bit.

3. Zack Synder being the director - I literally lost hope for the movie when I figured out that Zack Synder, the director of 300 is directing Batman v Superman. Just no. Zack Synder is not a fit director for a movie at this level. Zack Synder keeps putting dark themes in his works and it doesn't fit in the Superman/Batman atmosphere, maybe for Batman, but it doesn't work, and that's why Man of Steel wasn't all that great. It's because of his stupid dark themes. Superman is supposed to be charismatic and the Superman atmosphere is supposed to be colorful, not dark and gritty. Maybe, Synder can improve, but I just don't see that happening.

Are you guys excited for this movie? What are your expectations? My expectations are super-low.

they will fight then make up. they formed the core of league of justice (with womder woman, green lantern, martian, and the flash).

earth's mightiest superbeing checked and balanced by a human who knows how to stop him.

Casting seems fine, but it's introducing too many characters quickly. People who don't want to see Batman and Superman fight would obviously not see this film.

It will be terrible because it is directed by Zack Snyder.

Batman has no super powers and Superman does. Maybe if Batman made his suit out of kryptonite or something. But it still makes no sense, because they are both good guys.

It looks like they are going for Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns with this. In it, Batman isn't actually much different from a villain, but still comes out on top of Superman with a combination of lead, power-armour, kryptonite, manipulation and misdirection.

On one hand, Superman should win, right? Every depiction of their fight has Batman winning, which makes no sense. But then again, not sure if it's really fun to watch an overpowered God-alien being stomp an non-powered human.

Unless I'm mistaken, David S. Goyer said that kryptonite won't be a feature in the new Superman films. Wonder Woman however, is a magical being, Superman is weak against magic.
