I can recommend the ones mentioned: Metro/Last Light, STALKER, Left for Dead and Rage.

Borderlands (if you don't mind the grind).
Deadlight is OK too.

But nothing beats the original two Fallout games for me.

There was a sequel planned but it was cancelled so id could focus on Doom 4, so the ending is kind of unsatisfying for a single game

If you're looking for something not like the others, (i actually can't think of other P-A games in the genre) I would give Motorstorm: apocalypse a try. It even has apocalypse in the title
