So is the Xbox One going to become obsolete if you have a gaming PC?

Well it seems like all the Xbox One's exclusives are coming out on PC. From Titanfall to DR3 to Ryse, they're all coming out one by one. So would it be pointless to buy an X1 if you have the PC?

Halo won't come to PC, and that's what I'm getting an Xbox One for. Also, Rise of the Tomb Raider is a timed exclusive, so that won't come to PC for a while either.

Because porting MCC/5 to PC totally isn't a stupid business move. Because its not like it will increase hardware sales at all, because Halo obviously isn't a console seller, right?.

I'm saying stating that it will never happen is stupid, it's happened before, and we even got that stupid spartan assault recently. What will probably happen if they do, is at first console exclusive, sell consoles, afterwards, send it to PC, increase game sales. Tell me, how is that stupid?

XBox One is a black box that plays games.
PS4 is another black box that plays games.
Wii U is a black AND white box that plays games.
PC is also another black box that plays games. It just does its job better than ALL those other black boxes

You can get most of the Xbox One games on PC for less money (and in some cases better graphics) and it's being out sold by the PS4 so yeah, it will die in a couple of years i think.
If you really want a console then get a PS4 because then you can at least enjoy exclusives like Killzone, Ratchet and Clank, Little Big Planet etc etc.

I'm going to preface this by saying I'm not a fanboy, I don't hate Microsoft. I'm one of the people who has liked Win 8 since it came out. I had all 3 consoles last gen, but I enjoyed/played my PS3 the most, and played the Wii the most with friends. I gave my 360 to my friend because I didn't really use it and he loved Halo, where as I don't really care for deathmatch etc.. multiplayer.

That said, It would be very unwise for Microsoft to bring Halo to the PC. Look at the 360's history. The only reason to get a 360 was Halo and Gears. If all the Halo's had made the transition to PC then the Xbox division, a division already posting yearly losses, would of collapsed upon itself. The PC sales of the Halo games would not be able to pull the Xbox's division up to a profit. Microsoft is doing better with the Xbox One in terms of titles/exclusivity, but history could easily repeat itself with Sony's history of quality exclusives. this time around Microsoft does not have the advantages of the 360 in that it had no head start and until recently cost more than the PS4 even though being slightly underpowered. With the PS4 still outselling the Xbox One, Microsoft is not going to do anything to make consumers second guess getting an Xbox One.

The last proper Halo game to come to PC was seven years ago, and the recent Spartan Assualt was primarily a tablet/mobile game.

Makes sense. The original Halo one and two came to PC which they decide not to put on halo 3 pc instead took it to console. Except Spartan Assault.
