But I doubt one of the most popular JRPGs of all time
Famous for a boss who was made out to be rediculously hard
Would be such a pushover.
Anyway I like how this turned into a
Is Final Fantasy Hard? Thread.
Like paper mario
Are you talking about that 5 hour boss with mid fight save points?
I'v hoped it wouldnt become a "Is final fantasy hard? thread"
A:I say why i dislike ff and dont want that type of game to clarify my results>And get disagreement
B:I remain silent about ff to avoid disagreement>And get more games i'd breeze threw with X spam
I choose option A
Even if people disagree with me on FF (For some reason <_<)The fact that i BELEIVE ff is this way should be enough reason to avoid games other people play the same way as ff
lol i love that game so much :3 and i still own the original cd of it.
And it wasnt just a normal rpg game, theres a time where event occured, awesome bosses where everyone has its own weak point and movements, pulling sword combo between lumina and katana is awesome,6 element 6 main bosses, items, alot of secrets, and, awesome soundtrack.
except the story is average, voice acting is bad, no new game+,sometimes its really boring, can be finished in 1 day.
From what information the internet gives me.I think i would like to play brave fencer musashi
Looks like a game i would like
ff1 and ff2 dont have it and like i said before my ff13 disc was to damaged
with the right job classes and abilities, ff tactics has moderate to hard difficulty; assuming you only use the generic characters and not the special characters that can join you...
once you get beowulf and TG Cid, game is a cakewalk... you can send either one, and they would slaughter all enemies lol..
even as soon as you get agrias( at early stages of chapter 2 she is just a temp member, but later becomes a perma member) the game becomes easy, as she has about half the power of TG Cid lol..
there are a few parts in FFT that has a huge spike in difficulty, that if you are unprepared would mean a game over... the wiegraf battle and the elmdor+assassins are probably the highest difficulty curve in FFT.. also fighting 6 red chocobos in a random encounter is annoying lol..
now for the rpg's with steep learning curves..
CRISIS CORE (psp) = its basically you versus multiple enemies fighting at the same time.. its basically an action rpg(Kingdom Hearts combat) that has MODERATE to STEEP Difficulty.. wrong block or dodge could end the battle for you sooner than you think..
main quest is moderately difficult once you got some decent materias; its the missions where it gets tougher due to you requiring to grind to beat even the next available mission.. the further you progress into the missions, the tougher the regular mobs and bossess you will run into..
VAGRANT STORY (ps1 era)( would love if squareenix ports this superb game to pc) = similar to crisis core, but has strategic turn-based like combat due to the sphere grid system.. Moderately HARD to STEEPLY Hard Difficulty..
if you didn't know what you were doing, you could get stuck as early in the game; late game is even brutal as you would need to go back to some earlier areas to grab a key to unlock another area, and you need to have knowledge of combat to beat really tough enemies(bosses or even regular mobs can kill you in no time)..
Maybe also Final Fantasy IV Hardtype.
All three are for SNES. FFV was re-released for GBA. EB and FF4H don't have official English versions but have fan-translations.
While the story itself isn't that hard, there are special bosses which are very hard and not easy to beat.
Ignore Black Mage and get a Red Mage
Warrior, Thief, Monk, Red Mage.
Destroy everything in your path, especially mid-mid late game.
Still it is true that you can't just press one button and expect to win. Simply attacking won't do on certain bosses/enemies that are immune to physical attacks(IE: Flans)
You mean terribly padded.
As for hard RPGs, Conception 2
It's piss easy gameply, but the story is just so terrible you won't be able to get through it unless you have a superiority coplex over and want to be surrounded by boring, uninteresting anime girls.
It's basically like Persona, but more ♥♥♥♥.
