AK Racing gaming chair Premium V2 review
This is kind of a review of Premium V2 chair, but I'm really typing it to hear other people's experience about it. For the reference I am 178cm and 70kg.

I just received this chair from mail yesterday and I assembled it right away. I now have one evening long experience on the chair and I can already see the pros and cons of the chair.

First I must say that the overall quality for the chair is great. The Black leather is stylish and it really feels like it's gonna last for years. The seat is really comfortable to sit on except for the actual comfort pillows that are terrible.

The rubber band of the head rest is so tight that the actual head rest wont come down too much from the top of the chair. I have to use the back of the head to force it down to my neck area. If I lift my head off the pillow it will go back up in to too high position. Not sure if Im gonna use it or not.

The lower back pillow felt okay at first, but after having it for 10 to 15 minutes at my lower back (lumbar region) my back started aching. The lower back pillow feels too thick to my liking and I am not gonna use it.

The worst thing about the chair is the plastic covers. That are supposed to cover the screws used to attach the back rest to the seat. The plastic covers don't fit the chair at all. From the looks of it they are using the same plastic pieces on every chair and they don't fit for sh*t. The left bottom piece (circular) has a sharp edge that will actually push deep into the leather and will damage the leather in time. The two top pieces for the left and right side are wrongly shaped that they leave huge gaps on the back side. Looking the chair from behind the covers won't actually hide the screws and structures.

The arm rests seem alright and I like them alot. I've read people have issues with them, but I have none. Can't tell much more about them other than they are okay.

Link to assembly guide: see 4. and 5. for the screws and the plastic covers. There are 3 covers that are screwed in the seat to cover some screws and metal structure. This is the same assembly guide that is up on AK racing website, but the sites are down at the moment.

Pros
- Sturdy
- Comfort
- Stylish

Cons
- Comfort pillows
- Cheap plastic covers that don't fit

For a 319€ chair the plastic covers are ridiculously low quality.

If you own this chair please answer these questions:
1. How tall are you?
2. Do you use the two pillows and do you have similar experience than me?
3. Did the plastic covers fit your chair?
4. If you've had the chair for a longer time, how is it after long usage?
5. Any other thoughts or issues I am not addressing here?

thank you!

So, bought myself an AK Racing Premium V2 and returned it shortly after....

Im 192 cm, 105 kg and have fairly large legs, so, i couldn't even sit in the damn thing without having my legs squeezed making it a pain to sit in. It advertises as a chair that can hold up to 180 kg.... So would that be if two people sit on top of each other? Cause i did not fit in it, id fear someone weighing 180 kg would get stuck, unless of he or she is 250 cm tall?

As for the plastic covers.... I couldn't even get one of them on because the screw hole dit not line up with the hole in the bracket..... That's just plain poor craftsmanship. The one that did fit though fit perfectly, tight and snug fit to the side with no visible gaps.

Had it actually fit me, then i would have kept it even though i couldn't get one of the covers on. That's how good an impression i have of the chair. Really sturdy, looks amazing and from touch the comfort if you can fit in it seems really good.

Pros
-Sturdy.
-Killer looks.
-The backrest adjusts 180 degrees.
-Comfort?

Cons
-TO DAMN SMALL!
-Plastic cover did not fit the chair....
-Wheels are quire noisy.

If your normal build or smaller, id consider it, if you have larger than average legs stay clear of this chair!

sigh thanks tfor the reviews guys it seems to go with the rest of what I read everywhere else
they also said that the lift tube lost pressure after a few months :/
that kind of mis-aligned screws etc... is the usual lot for cheaply constructed "m in c" items had the same for car parts, had to re-drill holes etc..
cheaply constructed but not cheaply sold !

I'm sad because I have no choice to buy comfortable gaming seats, only playseat and akracing are sold in my country and the rest ask for crazy shipping fees :/

the pillows every review I read complains about them, it seems to be a gimmick started by a brand with no research behind it, maybe it's meant for twitch female users "posing" in front of the camera "if you know what I mean" ;) lol

Necro n all that , but to the OP, if you still have the chair, try turning your lumbar cushion upside down.

It was unbearable for me the right way up, but turned upside down and even turned back to front its much more bearable, at least for my spine.

My gaming chair is a plastic tractor chair with a crack going through the middle to the center.

also as of late i feel like there is some medal part up in my ass pushing through the seat....

Really? Damn, that sucks, I'm pretty happy with mine, had it 12 months roughly now and its wearing very well, a few creases on the inside of the leg..bracing things on the leather but thats because I sit like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in it.

My only complaint was the back cushion which felt like a brick till i turned it around (or over depending on how far reclined I am)
