So, the people on Rupet blew up earth cos they didn't know their purpose in life? or was it the Vogon?
Douglas Adams is known for making things that don't make any sense, I think.
It's a good read, I just can't quite make out the ending. did they die? where did the Vogon come from? why was he there?
Forget about that and read Kama Sutra.
i like whales falling out the sky and the number 42

Its a comedy, don't be expecting a noir esque storyline.

Speaking of, I've always prefered 'Dirk Gently' and 'Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul' to the 'Hitchhiker' books.

I haven't read them what are they about?
It's about my fav detective ever, Dirk Gently.
He takes an holistic approach to everything to find
"the fundamental interconnectedness of all things"
to solve the whole crime, and find the whole person.

When he is lost, or not sure what to do next,
he'll follow a car that looks like it knows where it's going,
and even if it's not where he wanted to go,
he usually ends up where he was supposed to be.

As much, if not more, deep thinking and philosophy than the 'Hitchhiker' books.
He was working on the end of the trilogy when he sadly passed away.
Not that the first 2 books are terribly connected.

But I highly recommend them if you like Douglas Adams.
I'll give it a look.
