Has their been any attempts at trying to save endangered invertabrates?
"How to deal with certain things.... there's more important things...."
Right, the things you deal with daily are more important. The things you care about are more important. And since you're on a videogame board, for videogames, we can only assume that means you deal with videogames daily and they matter to you more than history or writing or calculus or any number of things which you might never use in a million years.
What the ♥♥♥♥,dude? Why are you putting video games into this? No,video games don't matter to me more than actual knowledge.Stop assuming ♥♥♥♥ in order to sound smart. You don't think there's more to life than video games and school? What about personal matters? I've put both school and work behind me numerous times because of personal matters.
What you consider 'actual knowledge' is arbitrary. What everyone whining about useless classes considers useful is arbitrary.
Personal matters>Work>>>>>>>>>>>>Games
The only reason I even play video games anymore is to help with depression. What I consider "actual knowledge" would be the basics of learning (Basic math,a good understanding of history and the world, good understanding of english arts, and basic science) and life lessons ,which are never taught in school.
Here's a life lesson for you; Don't assume ♥♥♥♥ of others when you barely know them.
For example,
Surely a good understanding of the world and basic science would involve this thread's topic.
Spoiler: Stop being stuck up for once and realize people are humans, not robots.
Believed to be extinct. The oceans are largely unexplored, humanity actually does know more about its solar system than it does about its oceans.
It also wouldn't be the first animal to be "extinct" that then suddenly shows up again, once people actually bother to go looking.
They do, in the higher learning institues. And for those with no interest in Biology it hardly makes a difference if they make you learn 9 or well over 30 classes. They will only cover the 9 due to time constraints anyway.
People think anything that is not People, is worthless, for the most part. Some people even think all people not of their <insert physical, religious or social trait> are worthless.
Its about time you accept that there is only so much time to go around and teaching a bunch of squeamish kids, that have no interest in biology about dung beetles and worms, isn't exactly the most captivating or useful knowledge in the world.
Because they are cute and cuddly and its easier for people to relate to other mammals than to care about worms and bugs. And if you are a biology teacher, having to deal with 20 to 30 brats, of which all but one or two have no interest in what you are doing, then you too pick the animals the majority of them might be interested in. And that is horses, dogs, cats, dolphins and sharks. Maybe push the one animal you personally are fond of, or remember the most about, just to keep it interesting for you, as well as reduce your prep workload...
Then you cram that into maybe 4 weeks worth of school, spanning maybe a total of 8 to 12 hours total, and you end up with the common bias for cute and cuddly.
Three words: Cute And Cuddly.
