I doubt this guys name is Mario Mario
And if so
Luigi's really getting ripped off
Because his brother get's to put his first name (a name they don't share) as their title.

mario and luigi's surname is brother. that is why the two of them are called brothers. :)

It isn't. Nintendo made a press statement about it. They do not divulge his full name, but stressed that it is not Mario Mario, contrary to its use in Movie and Television.

If you want to can call him Mr Video, like his creator. Which would make him Mario Video, but that is unofficial as well.

And according to the Marketing Department of Nintendo they have no last names. The Mario Last name was a creation for the movies, and only for the movies.
