Is there a way to turn on a laptop from-
the couch? I know you can do it with desktops, and have a console like experience. But is there any way to do it with a laptop? I know, I can just go buy a console. But then I would essentially have to start fresh. Vs I have hundreds of games I love here on my PC already. Has anybody done this. Or is there a way to do it you think?

You just need a very long stick with properly angled finger attached to it.
Genius. I should copyright this product.
I do it often. But the laptop in that case is on the side rest of the couch.

The finglonger!
Connect your laptop with bigger screen, bluetooth mouse and keyboard, speakers and a controller. Then you let your laptop go to sleep mode. The next time you want to use the laptop, just sit on the couch and press any button on your bluetooth keyboard, then the laptop will turn on.

Note: it only works on Windows 10 and Windows 11, with sleep mode.

Leaving a laptop docked and tethered is convenient, but it'll kill the battery health pretty quickly unless you unhook it and run it normally a few times a week to keep the battery in use.

Still, fashioning a cradle/sling/hammock to hang off the side of the desk or TV stand is a fun little project.

it's the same as a desktop, just plug it in and disable the power savings BS.

funny enough, so does not leaving it plugged in... the batteries are designed to die.
