Agree or Disagree #01
Theres no greater crime than bringing someone into this existence. Then telling them, its illegal to leave it. Or that if they do, it will give them an infinitely worse existence for eternity. When they never asked to exist in the first place.

But they did consent by being born.
That's why it's called "life"... only those who are worthy have what it takes to make it to the end.

The goddess tests us all; the strong survive, the weak perish.
Here is this amazing thing called life... ohh btw you will most likely spend most of it in various pain and distress and then die in a horrible and agonizing way only to be judged by skydaddy who loves you but sends you to be tortured for eternity anyway because you got hard looking at the pretty girl and didn`t flog yourself for penance.

I am going to have to disagree.

If you really want to kill yourself, then nobody can really punish you for it, for you will be dead, and in that sense it is not even really relevant if it is legal or not.

However the line is drawn where you're asking for assistance because that just gives people an excuse to murder people who don't want to be killed that can not be verified ex-post-facto, since again, the only person who can testify as to that fact would be dead, and thus unable to tell any tales. People have a right to safety, and to keep themselves safe. You did not ask to be born, but it is not all about you.

Plus, when you are informing somebody of their potential fate, then the worst sin is to be dishonest about it. If it just so happens to be true that their fate would be worse off, which is kind of how it works in Disgaea for example, then that is what you must tell them. You would be doing a disservice otherwise. Plus we can only make assessments to the best of our abilities.

It also needs to be noted that the best we can do when forming opinions is to interview the failed attempts, and most interviewees express some amount of regret.
