Parts of Greenland would make for pretty good AI training farms
Plenty of natural cooling. Now how would it be done i wonder?

All this crap will become unnecessary soon with light based processors that are in development.
They have only fraction of power drain of current AI processors.
Something that draws thousands of watts currently only takes as much as tiny led bulb.

gogole came out and said last week that they reduced power consumption from ai requests by 33x
https://arstechnica.com/ai/2025/08/google-says-it-dropped-the-energy-cost-of-ai-queries-by-33x-in-one-year/
they would make great places for Tyranids to spawn on

Lmao, do you know about camp century up there?

When the government built that place, I guess they dug a huge trench, put in the base, and covered it back up.

But anyway, I guess they took some ice core samples and found something quite interesting. Most people likely already know about this though.

“Our study examines in detail the sediments from beneath the Camp Century drill site on the northwestern part of the Greenland Ice Sheet. Our results suggest that at some point in the past 1 million years, the Camp Century site was ice-free,” says Thomas, who conducted chemical analysis that enabled the team to understand the types of plants that were on site.

“Ice sheets typically pulverize and destroy everything in their path,” says Christ, “but what we discovered was delicate plant structures — perfectly preserved. They’re fossils, but they look like they died yesterday. It’s a time capsule of what used to live on Greenland.”

I wonder, do you think humans were around a million years ago, or whatever, pumping out co2 then? Or could this all just be part of some giant cycle that our elite would like to keep hush hush about.

The more stuff I see recently the more I start to suspect that humans are not the first advanced civilization on Earth. Somebody most likely already extincted themselves and million years is enough to erase all traces of it.

I don't think Ice ages are a conspiracy theory. They even make kid's movies about them.

What's AI good for? It appears to be useless and worthless.

these kinds of digs into ice are utterly terrifying. they could unearth a dormant virus or bacteria that could cause widespread death when it is thawed, there are actually quite a few class horror novels and films about this concept. it is of course very unlikely for this to happen, but its something i think about sometimes.

AI needs that Cracker Barrel lady to go on morning talk shows for it
Underwater super-puters.

Siberia provides even better conditions for AI training farms. Trump should slowly move towards taking over eastern parts of Russian territory before the country collapses and China gets everything with no efforts invested.

What happened to all the middle-aged NPCs on adverts pretending to vlog with shaky low quality selfie footage about not missing out on the easy life?
