I was extremely paranoid when I was a kid so I don't think I ever interacted with forums, at least not until recently

i only really used yahoo chat when i was a kid. i never asked for help on forums, i just read FAQs and guides for games or whatever i was doing. i wasn't terminally online then, either. just a kid wanting to play Chrono Trigger with broken transparencies and no controller and sometimes make little animated gif cartoons in MS paint.

I don't think I did that. I think I instead knocked on my neighbor's door. Because he worked in IT and would help me out pro bono. At least until I turned 18, which was when he started asking that I foot the bill.

No, I never had that much of a lack of awareness of how long it takes to respond.

I did make such a message on Steam once a few years ago but that was to be ironic since I was pretending to be impatient in a thread about patience. It was a bit of a parody.
