If you are like Trump and because black slavery history in the museums as being woke, well then that just a scapegoat excuse for your own racism and discrimination of others, refusing to learn from history which shape your own country into what it is today.

If that's the case, I'll rather be so-called "woke", not that they even know what the real meaning of the word means.

I admit, I enjoy seeing trainwrecks of Games failing financially.
If the game is a disaster, at least there is popcorn worthy entertainment from the woke wars on its game forum. Best part is that it is free and potentially more entertaining than the game itself.
It's more accurate to say "go broke, go woke".
Yes, totally agreed.
Mistakes get made, but there's a lot to learn from that too and develop upon. It shouldn't be buried, denied, censored and ignored, just to pretend that it didn't happen and you live in some magical perfect world.
Given woke vs non-woke can go to both extremes... you don't want to be too "woke" either as such and demand you need to be treated differently and have more benefits, just due to those history events which never affected your current generation and have already been addressed.
Anti-woke tends to be worst at digging it up however, when you could of just ignore it. You can see that on Youtube channels, etc. They dig up what they hate, show it around to share with everyone else, shoving it in their face and complaining about what they themselves dwell upon and roll around in utterly loving with a love/hate relationship.
Indeed the drama is entertaining. Good thing about Steam is that the mods are not as biased compared to other places like GameFAQs or Resetera. The mods there only favor one side as they ban everyone that disagree with the side the mods support. So there is no woke war. Only a dead echo chamber of a forum.
People choose to ignore all the "woke" games that succeed, they even say they're not woke despite featuring the same elements that make them consider other games woke.
Selective memory is the best game mechanic of all, yet some patch reality so it fits their bias, then call it ‘truth.’
Baldurs Gate 3 isn't woke, having gay characters and such is not woke. I never got that feeling from characters like Dame Aylin for instance, but every scene with Taash from DA:VG is unbearable. One is just "these characters exist", the other is "this character exists, you HAVE to have them around you, and you WILL support them because we gave you no choice otherwise".
The difference to me is that one is just part of the world, the other feels strange, out of place, and like modern politics, and you're stuck with it. There's a reason nobody really complained about Zevran in Origins, he felt natural there.
I don't think Concord is woke either, just had terrible character designs, an ugly style, and had nothing going for it that made it worth playing over other hero shooters.
