What I've read is that they are saying the shrimp is contaminated by cesium 137 which is found in reactors. A part of me wonders if this is from the Fukushima disaster or if their containment vessels are leaking at an alarming rate. I wouldn't be surprised if the ocean hasn't become Chernobyl at this point between leaking reactors and nuclear weapons tests. Either way this doesn't effect me as I don't eat shrimp, not because their bottom feeders, but because they also contain heavy metals. I get enough heavy metals in my water to fill all my nutritional needs.

Well having 3 thumbs would be quite handy. Getting contaminated just by touching or being near the packaging didn't cross my mind. That is pretty concerning. I don't know much about cesium or chemistry though, so I'm not sure about the half life of it or even the effect it would have in whatever quantity that is contained within the shrimp or the packaging.

Wahmrt chicken breast most times i get gross liquid bubbling out when cooking it which means it was probably injected with liquid to make it heavier for sale.
