Especially in the political threads, if you don't agree with one side then you get blasted by the other
I would say 4chan but eh, I've had a lot of really good genuine conversations there before. If you hang around places like /v/ then it really isn't that bad imo
Usually the forums for specific games are a lot tamer outside people being elitist for X fangame or Y fan port (the DOOM boards are especially bad about this), but for the most part they're pretty good when it comes to getting help for a game.
But in terms of every website either, yeah probably. Twitter can be kind of bad with the dog piling and right wing extremism, but those aren't too hard to ignore depending on who you surround yourself with.
Never had a problem with reddit. Stick to smaller subreddits or reddits for specific games and you'll be just fine.
