Who has the unhealthiest diet in Europe and why is that the case?
To list a few, who do you consider unhealthy:
  • United Kingdom
  • Ireland
  • France
  • Germany
  • Austria
  • Czech Republic
  • Slovakia
  • Hungary
  • Romania
  • Greece
  • Italy
  • Portugal
  • Spain
For me, it has to be Britain: due to fish & chips + burgers (it's literally everywhere), heaps of kebab, baked beans + sausage (both have fat) with butter spread on toast (again it's all grease).

There is no such country as united kingdom. It is in fact called the kingdom of britannia.

The "blue zones" areas where people eat a predominantly plant-based diet have the longest lived people.

Jeanpiere always needs a bowl of butter even if the recipe needs none. He says its for emotional support.

The italians eat good fresh healthy food and shouldn't even be included on this list. I would say English food is the worst in europe.

PS... I know nothing of eastern european food but I know the southern countries are better food.

It does not have anything to do with where you live or what the food culture is, but more about if you have the knowledge about healthy/unhealthy foods and if you can afford to not eat mass processed foods.

Well lets look

Highest obesity
Romania, Poland, Croatia, and Slovakia

Fruit & Vegetables :
The lowest daily intake was found in Romania, where only 2% of the population ate at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables, followed by Bulgaria and Slovenia (both 5%) and Austria (6%)

Sugar :
Belgium's sugar intake is among the highest globally
Other countries with high sugar consumption include the Netherlands, Finland, and Sweden.

Salt :
Hungary, Slovenia, and Portugal are among the nations with the highest salt intake
*chechia and romania are among the European nations with high salt consumption too but below those top 4.

Transfat :
The Netherlands has the highest consumption of trans fats, with a mean intake of 2.3% of total energy intake.
it's worth noting that this data is from a study published in 2014 and that steps have been taken to decrease it.
Meanwhile Poland, Bulgaria, and Romania have been identified as countries where high levels of industrial trans fats persist in popular foods in the highest percentages.

Alcohol
Romania has the highest consumption at 17 liters per year folllowed by Latvia, Czechia, and Lithuania all around 12 liters per year..

---
So we can say that Romania has the worst diet.
