i like to give gifts when I can, which isn't often because I don't have much to give, but I do still manage from time to time. I have everything I want mostly so no need to gift to me. Unless you want to gift me a ferarri or even a snowmobile or a quad. I'll happily take anything with an engine.
Sometimes, I’d rather let someone else take the opportunity - especially if they don’t get as many freebies or gifts

no, i hate receiving gifts. i never feel like i can adequately express thanks in a good enough way, or i instantly feel like i have to give them something back. it is hard accepting kindness for the sake of kindness, at times.
I like gifts.

Unfortunately most of the gifts I get rarely are something related to my interests.
...My relatives mean well but getting me a clothes every Christmas does not mean i'm going to like it.

Cause most of the clothes are meant to be worn in slightly but not too cold conditions and not for the oh god it's hot conditions.

that is so wrong, you make your mind and soul believed that you are not deserved the gift, always believe that you deserved to be loved man

a smile is a gift too. its more valuable than the stuff that peoole can buy.

i personally would prefer to ser that person happy and enjoy their day/week instead of wasting time to say 'thank you' over and over again

Well on one hand I don't know how to have fun, but on the other hand I could be the perfect pair for Uncle Scrooge because I never ask for anything.
Nope, I feel extremely uncomfortable when receiving presents or gifts. I do not and never have liked it. I prefer others to be happy and give them presents or gifts
You should never tell people your birthday.
  • If people ignore your birthday, you know they don't like you.
  • If they get you something, was it sincere or did they feel obliged to observe a tradition they'd rather ignore?
  • If you tell nobody, they don't need to pander, you don't need to wonder whether they're sincere. If somebody did get you something, you'll know it's genuine.

No, I hate the concept as a whole, with the exception of gifts out of kindness, I guess.
And even then, I don't know how to react to them and receiving them makes me feel indebted.

Also, if it's a gift, then it better is something I will put to use like coffee cups, socks, and such.
Whenever it's the type of a gift that's useless and meant as a joke, I do wanna throw it away to express my displeasure.
Fun fact but I appreciate food more than anything. Why? Because to me "food is life".
