Is it ideal to take a selfie in this case?
I've seen "fail" videos or compilations where people rode a rollercoaster (or equivalent) having their phone out whilst the ride is in full motion but lost grip of the device they're holding suddenly as it literally slips out of their hand due to the inertia and speed the ride is heading in.

For me I always have a lanyard just in case that ever happens. It’s basically a strap that is connected to you just in case.
If you watched the movie Final Destination 3, you will know the answer is no. Someone on the rollercoaster loses his grip on his device, and it causes many deaths.

Yeah, just loosing the phone is an annoyance compared to the considerable number of lives lost during selfies and live streaming stunts gone wrong.

The guy who tried to climb Mt. Fuji in winter is my personal favorite.

It’s just a phone. You lose it, you buy another. We live in an era of throwaway tech.
I really don't like taking selfies so no.
