being respawned in video games doesn't cause loss of memories,
after each death, players keep their experience of things.
being respawned in real life will clear memories. they start fresh again.
no need to worry about that, government and people will keep the thoughts and behavior of newly respawned up to date through language and information.

but, there is no respawn in real life, only a date with thoughts that never progress .people has been trying really hard to give birth to their children, but they hardly have any control what goes into the mind of new life.

just make sure to use a save point first, or make a quicksave

You have to choose the Hindu or Buddhist class in the character creation screen but you won't keep any of your items or stats when you respawn and your new class, stats, etc, may be randomized.

I suspect what it does is kick you over to a different timestream where you didn't die. There's a brief skip and blank spot in your memory when it does this, and rearranges reality to fit.
