War with Mexico?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOWfZEquDBo

The president of Mexico threatened the USA. I remember this dude predicted we would go to war with Mexico in 2025, he predicted a lot of things that came true.

It might come, a lot of countries and places are neck and neck towards one another these days. I remember I seen talk about possible war with mexico's cartels and it seems like a slam dunk imo because it's simply armed gangs, though we could be eating our own words later; however it could trigger a massive race war within US soil ngl you know...it's too overwhelming to think of. The world feels like a chess board of 10+ players of different factions or a 4X strategy game.
mexico is jungles and deserts. war in such environments is very scary.

if anyone could be doing it, obviously usa could. but it would require significant collateral damage the american government would likely be unwilling to inflict.

also the cartels are scary, they have more money and are better equipped than most militaries on this planet. and the cartels are heavily woven into the mexican government, so they absolutely would fight.

also war is of ink, and not meat. be kind to one another yes? or else ink will reign supreme. and this hurts my brain.

Methinks it is also a bad idea. Cartels would toss people's salads. They have no qualms about who they hurt or kill. They also employ professional hitmen as well as their own members. Own members = sloppy work, contract killers they use = bad news bears.

And when they want someone dead, its kind of like terminator 1 where they just kill anyone with a similar name until their desired target is taken down

Its bad. Its a very bad idea. It would result in such a profound loss of life for many innocent people
Atlanta, Georgia has just entered the fray. :starsandstripes:

The Mexican (and Colombian) cartels are already in the USA, I watched a few dash cams of them with machine guns firing on US police and smuggling people, drugs, and weapons into the US and Canada. :badluck:

Yeah, the cartels are no joke. They have tactical gear, assault rifles, rocket launchers, drones, even tanks and helicopters. They're basically a paramilitary unit at this point. It wouldn't be no walk in the park, American troops struggled in the Afghanistan war, this would be a 1,000 times worse.

The CIA would probably make deals with the cartels because hitting the Mexican military would benefit the cartels.
Will it be the Pancho Villa Expedition over again?

No, more like the invasion of Iraq. Mexico will be without power, without running water and sewage, with their airfields, planes, and tanks gone in a week. Then it's just a matter of whether or not politicians will hamstring the military like it did in Afghanistan, with nonsensical rules of engagement. Which is also what they did in Vietnam too.

The US has had electromagnetic weapons that can stop your heart from several hundred meters since the 1950's. Modulation schemes that can drive down the activity of certain enzyme systems so you can't think or function, modulation schemes that can kindle seizures, put voices in your head or project sound anywhere you want. The "wars" we see today are just "global theater", play, fluff. Not even to mention aerial pathogen dispersion and cutting off rain to agricultural areas.

Yeah why not? Mexico has been quietly invading for decades, they don't respect America's borders or laws.
Taking Baja California next time.
Mexico needs to get it's own house in order. Threatening America is crazy.
I thought a second civil war would be more likely

But why not have both (USA is ♥♥♥♥♥♥)

Did you play it on civilization?
