Marriage, firs and for most is an Oath to each other and to each others families that you two will stick together no matter what and rise your kids yourselves . That means that your relationship will not be reliability to your families . Second is a great occasion to meat your current family members and get to know the other sides family .

Marriage is not a f****n dress up party , it is not about bride and her looks , it is not your special day or look at me day, and it is not bring me gifts party day , it is not about sex or your preferred fetish.

You do not trust divorced people ! Why ? Because if they broke an oath to person they love , they have no problem betraying those they don't care about.

It's a contract, an obligation, a responsibility presented in a format that makes it SEEM so fun and magical to the naive. It became an obsolete thing because people don't have the reckless sex and unplanned children like they once did. Boomers as well as every generation prior to never planned children they just went out every Friday thru Sunday to party and screw until she became pregnant. It was THEN she would find someone to marry.

ALL of this junk, this propaganda related to marriage was and is designed to make it seem magical and wonderful to make it seem like it's something other than what it is. People are encouraged to marry BEFORE they realize what a marriage is. Get em while they're young and dumb.
