Electronics projects?
I will organise in the next post electronic projects suggested by OT for people to have a go at.

Nothing dangerous or risky.
Keep it low level and maybe some more complex ones but to start keep it 'simples'.

Rules of the Topic :

Do post the project name.
Do post either your instructions or the youtube / site address for the instructions.

Do Not post "this site has lots of things look at it and figure out yourself".

More a curiosity at what OT comes up with in a sensible manner.

Safety :
Make it battery operated not things that plug into the mains.
And every other thing that says Safety First.

Projects organised.
You can create wireless energy by converting electricity into radio waves and then converting the radio waves back into electricity.
libreboot Everything you can get your hands on.
It's quite easy.
I actually started by deleting / Neutering Intel ME on my first laptop in 2019.
Can chat with the community on IRC if you need help or have questions.

I just borrowed a bread board from the school library. Followed the youtube instructions how to wire it up. Than ran the script on my raspberry pi.

Viola, stabbing at Satan. Join us brothers and sisters :). This is how it starts. If you get a good laptop, they get kind of mad. some iterations they say "We won't let that happen again". Making it harder to even get at the spi flash it seems intentional having to disassemble the whole thing rather than just pop the back lid or keyboard. Watch a talk from Corna he dives into what we know about intel Management Engine if you are interested. The man is a hero making things easy for us non-technical folks.

But Libreboot is a step up from just running Nicola Corna's script. Libreboot is Coreboot build system making it easier for new users, but that is OK. Even easier is GNUboot you just download the image and flash it you don't have to build it yourself. Replace your non-free bios as soon as you can and join us in trying to create a free and fair world full of love and hope ;).

Why would a person want to do that?
Are there any benefits or is it just an alternative or more efficient way to boot up?
