I prefer jalapeños in most cases but I enjoy Serranos. I use to grow them in my salsa garden for a hotter salsa.

we do have jalapenos but most peppers are just red chili's from spain. the better ones are the green peppers from turkey and if you want to go nuts you go to that guys with toko from suriname or vietnam and ask for the real deal and then he asks you are you sure?! and then you say No but i'll buy them anyway

in my experience, people here either hate it or love it, I can't think of anyone that would fit in between.

Yeah I know a guy that doesn't like harsh vinegar stuff over there like Tabasco or Tabascos in Vinegar sauce.

But likes REALLY REALLY HOT FRESH peppers.

He is open to knowing there is a perfect blend of peppers to vinegar though. I told him that's Crystal Hot Sauce. But that's going to be very mild for him.

yeah we dutch not like vinegar that much.
when I was in Uk for the first time and ordered fish and chips at the pier in brighton I just returned it and said sorry but I really don't like this, but I wanted to try it.
the face of salesman looked like he wanted me to drop dead on the spot xd

he's from Trinidad and now lives in Switzerland.

Salsaholic here

Made a batch today in fact.

Serrano are too hot for me, so I've been doing Jalapeno and Poblano for a while.

Of course lots of garlic and cilantro
