Looks like it's confirmed that the Oblivion Remaster will come to Switch 2.
My PC can't run it, and I am already planning to get a Switch 2, so this is great news for me.
My thing with the Switch is that the Mariokart Bundle is $700 Canadian, I figured it'd be around $750-$800. I really just want to play Metroid Prime and Donkey Kong. Couldn't care less about Mario. Thus I'm not in a rush to get it, but also I live in Canada, where consoles have gone up 4 times over the last 5 years. Thus this might be the cheapest entry point for me.
But then the latest reveal happened and it seems Nintendo is going down a route of anti-consumer-friendly practices to nickel and dime players. Like the $10 virtual tour to show you all the features of the console or whatever that is? That should be free. Always-online stuff possibly? No physical copies of games, just boxes with codes inside? Subscription fees to use the microphone feature? Raising prices to a new precedent of $70 games? Lack of innovation?
Just seems like everything I missed about Nintendo no longer exists, the soul is gone, and I'm not one to support that kind of negative change in the gaming industry. I don't play mobile games anyways. When I'm out, I'm out. I don't even look at my cellphone unless it's ringing.
Nah...my plan is to give them the middle finger, and that's free.
