Why Are Posts Removed for Tone Instead of Addressing the Truth?

Its becoming increasingly clear that in OT, posts arent removed because theyre wrong, but because they make people uncomfortable. You can present a completely valid argument grounded in logic, backed by observable reality but if it’s delivered without sugarcoating, it gets nuked for “tone.” Meanwhile, emotional takes laced with sarcasm, passive aggression or spiritual metaphors stay up because they sound nice or align with the mods comfort zone.
Weve created a space where truth only survives if its polite enough, and that’s not discourse its just emotional babysitting.
You cant claim to support free expression or serious debate if you only allow one side to speak bluntly while flagging the other for daring to challenge a popular narrative without a soft filter.
Tone policing doesnt protect discussion it kills it.
If the platform wants to favor feelings over facts then at least say that outright. But dont pretend it’s about keeping things civil when it’s really about controlling which truths are allowed to exist.

(My interpretation) Free speech only means the government can't come after you for your opinions, but this isn't the case when it comes to platforms online or privately owned areas.
