I think what people should really be mad at is that space has become a tourist destination for rich people. It just means that eventually when all the world is polluted or on fire to the point where it can no longer support life anymore, these people will be living in some swanky space station watching us all eat each other to survive.
None of us will be on the arks when they build em.
