Golf Carts and communities that use them...should more places use them??
Well my little town has had golf carts as a way of transport for almost 15 years now and i just got one.....first off i love the idea given you can get a good one for as little as 5 grand new for one that does 35mphs so its really cheap VS a car.....Insurance is a JOKE as its only 530 bucks for a whole year of full coverage....easy to work on to the point old VW bugs look hard to work on and a fun little drive anyone can learn quick.....

so should we let more people drive them on roads under 35mphs like we do???....ANY road with a speed limit at or under 35mphs is OPEN GAME with a map of where we can cross major roads debated by the city....

I already know people that no longer have a normal cars as they can get any where from a grocery store to their doctors on a golf cart.....

its even cheap to replace batteries now with 800 dollar single pack battery for 36 volt carts that give you twice the distance percharge just because of the weight lost

this with a prius will be all i need

No. You need an enclave.

Nah you ever see them forming in groups, just a ton of golf carts outside diners and stuff? They're golf cart gangs and they go around beating people with 5 irons
I have same view as the old Milk Floats.
So practical and pleasant to drive around in.

Consider this hidden angle:

These are how the old geezers knock back a few at the clubhouse and never get arrested.

They never reach sufficient speed to cause significant damage and one of the benefits of living in an "exclusive" community is the cops leave them alone.
The only place I see golf carts driving on public roads is senior communities. They really are not safe enough for major secondary roads with traffic, and to make them safe enough it would end up being cheaper to buy a car. If people enjoy their golf carts, more power to them, just be wary of traffic.
