In my experience in the workforce, in the USA, without unions, and without someone to actually enforce workplace regulations, and no way to hold the employer accountable for false write-ups that their own surveillance footage should contradict...
(And also never managing to get a job that pays 10k within half a year's work.)
The incineration of the bridge is almost always an imminent inevitability anyways.
So, I'd take 10k to leave almost any job that I might ever work.
