Every episode of DBZ abridged is better than the one that came before it, so each time they made a new one it was the best part of the series and the first episodes were okay as well, but a bit constrained by lack of experience and equipment. Around episode 40+ they produced better content than just about anyone else in the animation business.

I gave up on them when they lied to fans.

They said they needed money to continue DBZA. They wound up getting over $5k/month from Patreon alone. (They make additional money from streams and merch.)

Then they said it didn't "fulfill them creatively". So, they dropped the series, but kept all the money.

They did a DB Super Abridged. It was only available to people that paid for it.

In a single year they barely put out any content. (Besides the streams.) But managed to go to eight anime conventions!
