I can agree both are just as good BUT it depends on the quality of ice cream. Vanilla tends to be really good as a milk, milkshake or regular cream. Most ice creams tend to be bland. EVEN with the chocolates they can be bland without adding fudge or dark chocolate.
Agree about the quality. I rarely eat ice cream - because if I buy it I'll eat it - and I'd rather get my calories from elsewhere.
However, if I do eat ice cream, it's together with someone at an ice cream shop. But then again, it would never be chocolate or vanilla in that scenario.
But yeah, I do like a good peanut butter milkshake - and that calls for vanilla ice cream. And I thought about that and it may have pushed it over the edge for me when put vanilla ahead of chocolate.
Heh.
This year though, I discovered something similar to vanilla icecream: the wonder of greek yoghurt mixed with frozen berries. That ♥♥♥♥ is some of the best stuff I have ever tasted, and it is also healthy. If I get bored of that I have some ideas in mind for things to do to it, like mixing in honey or granola.
A friend of mine's family in high school made their own ice cream. Absolutely delicious. Simple too. I remember sitting on a bucket cracking the handle for a while.
